The BBB Mediation Services is having a 10 hour learning and skill development training for attorneys, paralegals, and others interested in serving as a mediator in court referred and other formal and informal settings.

This activity has been approved for Minimum Continued Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California in the amount of 10 hours.
The training reviews skills commonly used in the practice of mediation.Participants will also learn skills that mediators can use to help disputing parties reexamine issues, underlying interests, and options so they can resolve their dispute successfully.
The training will include a combination of lecture and discussion, skill building exercises, and mediation role-plays coached by experienced mediators.Attorney and non-attorney practitioners will also discuss financial issues, mediation approaches, the development of a personal mediation style, and how to deal with conflict and unusual circumstances during a mediation.
