BBB Mediation Services helps with student problems.

The BBB’s Mediation staff not only helps local schools settle tough disputes, they help all accredited businesses too. The BBB has staff that is dedicated solely to focusing on bringing resolutions to problems.

BBB Mediation Services had a very busy year!  Our staff assisted many different kinds of disputes both in and outside of the court room, finishing the year providing our services in more than 1,000 different cases. 

Among the parties helped was a local high school that needed assistance settling disputes between students.    

Vice Principal of Firebaugh High School, Roy Mendiola says,  “It would be great for every school-based conflict to be resolved after the parties involved meet with the site administrators.  Unfortunately, this does not always happen and additional support is required.  The mediation services provided by the BBB are a great support for site administrators and families.”

Many times, the mediation staff will hear judges say that one thing is certain in their court room:  one party is going to leave the court unhappy.  The staff also hears judges encourage litigants to try to work out a settlement through the mediation process.
